My Autobiography

My name is Nataly Alejandra Beas Ibarra (I love my first name), I was born in Santiago,    Chile, on April 15th, 2001. All my life I live in La Florida with my brother, my sister and my parents (Veronica y Enrique) besides my dog named Perry. I am the middle sister, the oldest is called Daniel and he has 22 years old and he youngest is called Catalina and she has 13 years old. Both are single and studying, she at the Colegio San Cristobal and he at INAF, preparing to be football coach.
My primary studies were in three differents establishments, the first was a little school called "Los Copihues", where i cursed Pre-Kinder; later, i was three years in the "Colegio Portales"; finally i was six years in the "Colegio San Cristobal".  And my secondary studies in a high school called "INSUCO E.F.M" or "Instituto Superior de Comercio Eduardo Frei Montalva"- a big name - in wich I was part of the center of the students in my penultimate year and I got the middle degree of Business Administrator mention human resources. Currently, I'm studying Public Administration at the "Escuela de Gobierno y Gestión Pública" of the university called "Universidad de Chile".
In the weekends, I'm work in "Melt Pizzas", mainly serving the public by phone or applications (I'm master entering orders). And in my free times I like to cook sweet foods, too listen to music (most of my songs are sad but they make me happy), spending time with my family, or with my boyfriend, watching series or films in Netflix and play with my sister.
A curious fact about me is that I would love to know Haiti and all of southern Chile.

My Life Choice

When I was a girl, I wanted be a doctor, a mathematic's teacher, an actress or a singer, but I never said to my family because I'm a little embarrasing and actually sang very badly. The idea of becoming a doctor was short-lived unfortunately for my parents, for them the idea were fantastic in this moment. When I started high school I said I wanted to study adminstration because I wanted to go to my brother´s high school, but they sent me to another one that supposedly would be better for me. Finally I liked administration of human resources, but in my last one year of high school I did not know what career I would want study. I thought in gastronomy, informatic, logistic and commercial engineering, but my focus were in social. So in the moment of applying to univesity I conviced me -whit a vocational counselor- that public administration was for me, since my concern was always the problems of society. Add I applied for International Studies at the University of Chile, but langu...

Gender Stereotypes in Chile

But of course, the changes must start by society culture and, maybe, in this case, we have advanced a little, well, for example, now a working mother that not dedicates 100% to housework is not frowned -not as much as before- at least by the younger population, I think an age is arrives when changing your mind is difficult :/ for this reason, it’s important that our generations and the generations that coming be managers of change, breaking down stereotypes so basics as that a male can’t cry, make housework, nor get involving in raising children and that women must take care of their image, make up, look slim and be kin...
