Gender Stereotypes in Chile

Chile, just like others parts of the world, has been fighting against gender stereotypes, expanding the labour field for men and women in in areas that were inconceivable for each gender -a male nurse and an female engineer- and trying equalize remunerations, but yet it hasn’t been fully achieved, while is difficult see woman in leaderships positions. But of course, the changes must start by society culture and, maybe, in this case, we have advanced a little, well, for example, now a working mother that not dedicates 100% to housework is not frowned -not as much as before- at least by the younger population, I think an age is arrives when changing your mind is difficult :/ for this reason, it’s important that our generations and the generations that coming be managers of change, breaking down stereotypes so basics as that a male can’t cry, make housework, nor get involving in raising children and that women must take care of their image, make up, look slim and be kin...

Human Evolution Timeline

I was never very interested in human evolution, but I have been impressed with some things that I have seen, so I am going to tell you...      About 6 million years ago most early human species became bipedal, what allowed to moved better to other places; however, the first human species to travel to and live in Europe is homo heidelbergensis, in the cool latitudes specifically, only around 700,000 to 200,000 years ago.      Around 800,000 years ago, fire was controlled by early humans. In my opinion, this is the most significant milestone for the human evolution, because this allow cooking, keep warm, illuminate, and stay safe from depredators. Moreover, this milestone has allowed us to develop to this day, using the fire for the same thing, but in a different way, and for other things like in the industry.      The Homo Habilis used to live in Eastern and Southern Africa. It is believed they are the first early human ...

When I started high school I said I wanted to study adminstration because I wanted to go to my brother´s high school, but they sent me to another one that supposedly would be better for me. Finally I liked administration of human resources, but in my last one year of high school I did not know what career I would want study. I thought in gastronomy, informatic, logistic and commercial engineering, but my focus were in social. So in the moment of applying to univesity I conviced me -whit a vocational counselor- that public administration was for me, since my concern was always the problems of society. Add I applied for International Studies at the University of Chile, but langu...
